Garden Tours

New Zealand is home to passionate gardeners and we have connections throughout the land, from Gardens of National Significance to hidden gems. We have been running specialist garden tours for 20 years and know the best gardens and gardeners in every region. In spring the rhododendrons and peonies are blooming and throughout the year the rare species in our New Zealand native gardens are an enthusiast’s delight. And a memorable highlight of our garden tours is meeting the gardeners themselves, wandering their garden and enjoying their amazing hospitality over a long, private lunch.

Our garden tours are all here on this website, MoaTours.

These tours are up to a week and focus on one specific region of the country, like the Rhodendron gardens of Taranaki or Canterbury for the spring gardens and festivals.

Farming & Horticulture

Enjoy the warmth and hospitality of our farming hosts lunching in a historic country homestead with fresh produce from the farm gardens. Visit the cowshed at milking time and later take a walk with your hosts around the lake and through the garden’s rare trees, perhaps even fish in nearby streams. High country sheep stations are an iconic symbol of New Zealand’s farming life. Meet the owners and managers who will show you over their land and introduce you to every day working life on a large sheep farm.
