Kakapo 23 Day Tour

I loved the added special actives that you do not see on other tours like the farm/ garden visits, the boat ride and hot pools on Lake Rototti and the kayak paddle out on the west coast. Our guide Matt was absolutely wonderful. He had so much information to share and was so knowledgeable on the history, geology and the fauna. Do not think i could have ask for anyone better. His sense of humor and interaction with the group was spot on.

Kakapo 23 Day Tour

Our 23 day trip to see the whole country was an exceptional experience, made more so by the fantastic tour guide. We feel we got a flavor of the history, culture and beauty of both island. We enjoyed everything! Our guide Matt's knowledge, humor, accommodation (like to coming to get us when we were caught in the rain on a hike), handling of all aspects of our trip (hotel registrations, luggage, special tours, etc.), tolerance and driving fair exceeded our expectations. He was a major contributor to our enjoyment of our trip.

Kakapo 23 Day Tour

We saw and did things we never would have been able to do travelling on our own, or with a large group tour. Our driver often took us on short side excursions to view something unique. The trip was not overly demanding; an unavoidable longer day was usually followed by one less arduous. Morning starts were always reasonable. We have highly recommended Moa Trek to our travel agent!

Our Kiwi Guide Paul, what can we say?? His wealth of knowledge, his humourous anecdotes (orange people?!!), his attention to individual needs, (example was his making sure Jane from the UK got to see the tuatara she had studied); his efficient handling of daily luggage (nothing got lost!), his informative tiki tours etc etc. Nothing was too much trouble for him, he was always available to help.

Kakapo 23 Day Tour

My wife and I would like to thank Moa Trek on putting together a well thought-out Itinerary for touring New Zealand, including in general their selection of hotels. Moa Trek’s attention to detail made our tour of New Zealand with its beautiful scenery, friendly people and rich history, a great experience. We would not hesitate to recommend Moa Trek to our friends as a company to use if they plan to tour New Zealand.

Kakapo 23 Day Tour

The Kakapo tour was wonderful, allowing us to experience both the North and South Island at a comfortable pace. The outdoor experiences enjoying nature, and visiting cultural and historical sites combined for a great mix of activities. Food was great everywhere, but especially on the optional wine tours! Our Kiwi guide was informative, efficient, patient, and engaging! Moatrek provided a great way to visit a very special country.

Kakapo 23 Day Tour

This 23 day tour of the very best that New Zealand has to offer is nothing short of spectacular. The small group nature (max 18 people) develops great cohesion amongst participants - I have never laughed as much with fellow travellers on any tour, having travelled extensively across the world. It also means that the tour guide can be more spontaneous in what the group can do - and we had the very best of guides who enabled us to take full advantage of a very beautiful country with scenery and culture that took your breath away on every day. No words can adequately express my appreciation of a quite fabulous experience and I am so very grateful that my discovery of MoaTrek enabled me to discover the beating heart of the extraordinary nation that is New Zealand. "Fantastic" barely scratches the surface of a simply wonderful and life-enhancing 3 weeks.

Visiting New Zealand was to be a holiday of a Life Time, it was not a holiday, it was an Adventure of a Life Time.
Many Thanks for the Memories!

Kakapo 23 Day Tour

We enjoyed all the places we visited on our Kakapo tour - particularly Kerikeri, Waitangi and the Bay of Islands, Napier and the Mission Estate dinner, Nelson, Lunch with Ian and Diana MacKenzie's Akaunui homestead, Mt. Cook, Queenstown and Milford Sound and the return scenic flight. Our guide was outstanding, the way the check ins were handled was brilliant and the accommodation and meals exceeded our expectations.
