Can I travel to New Zealand now?
Yes - New Zealand’s borders have opened and the good news is that all tourists – that’s you - can enter New Zealand.
You still have to meet all health requirements and may still require a NzETA travel authority.

What are the current Covid-19 regulations in New Zealand?
New Zealand is learning to live with Covid. We are not quite as far ahead as the EU and North America but life as we knew it pre-Covid is mostly back.
The two significant regulations are:
The NZ Government requires anyone who tests positive for Covid-19 to isolate for 7 days.
Masks are mandatory in the following places:
- Hospitals
- Doctors' clinics
- Pharmacies — but not those inside supermarkets

Travel insurance
We strongly recommend all travellers take out appropriate travel insurance. Talk to your insurer regarding obtaining cover for Covid-19 related disruptions or costs.
Do I need a Covid-19 test to travel to New Zealand?
A Covid-19 test is not required before travelling to New Zealand. See this section on the New Zealand Government Covid-19 website for the latest updates.
Do I need a Covid-19 vaccination to travel to New Zealand?
MoaTrek requires all travellers joining our tours to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
However, vaccination against Covid-19 is not necessary to enter New Zealand.

What do I have to do once I’m in New Zealand?
On arrival in New Zealand you will be supplied with two free rapid antigen tests (RATs) to self test on the day of your arrival and again at Day five or Day six. MoaTrek requires everyone joining our tours to test on the day of arrival.
